Asterius - The Greek Physician and Philosopher of Alexandria
Asterius (Greek: Ἀστέριος, fl. 2nd century AD) was a Greek physician and philosopher who lived in Alexandria during the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (117-138 AD). He is known primarily through the writings of his contemporary, the physician Galen, who often quotes him in his own works.
