Belisarius: The Savior of the Eastern Roman Empire
Belisarius (c. 505 – 565) was a successful Byzantine general who reconquered much of the Western Roman Empire from the barbarian tribes that had overrun it in the 5th century. He is considered one of the greatest generals of all time and played a key role in saving the Eastern Roman Empire from destruction.
