Nonmanufactured Products: Understanding the Difference
A nonmanufactured product is a good or service that has not been transformed or altered from its natural state through any process or manufacturing. In other words, it is a product that has not been made or fabricated, but rather obtained directly from nature or from another source without any significant modification.
Examples of nonmanufactured products include:
1. Agricultural products such as grains, fruits, and vegetables.
2. Livestock and poultry products such as meat, dairy, and eggs.
3. Minerals and ores extracted from the earth.
4. Energy resources such as coal, oil, and natural gas.
5. Water and other natural resources.
6. Services such as healthcare, education, and financial services that do not involve any manufacturing process.
In contrast to nonmanufactured products, manufactured products are goods that have been transformed through a manufacturing process, such as assembly, fabrication, or processing. Examples of manufactured products include cars, airplanes, electronics, and appliances.
