The Importance of Fullbacks in Football

In football (soccer), a fullback is a player who plays in the defensive backfield position and is responsible for preventing the opponent's attackers from scoring. They typically play behind the midfielders and in front of the goalkeeper.

Fullbacks are expected to be good at both defending and attacking, as they need to be able to mark opponents and make tackles to win the ball back, but also have the ability to go forward and support their team's offense. There are two types of fullbacks: left fullback and right fullback.
