Understanding Morula: The Early Stages of Embryonic Development
Morula is a stage in the development of a fertilized egg or zygote, between the 2-cell and 4-cell stages. During this stage, the cells divide rapidly, but they do not yet have a distinct morphology or organization. The term "morula" was coined by Wilhelm His, Jr., a German embryologist, in 1875.
