Understanding Overquarter Periods in Business
Overquarter refers to a period of time that is longer than a quarter but shorter than a year. It can be used to describe a time frame that spans from the end of one quarter to the beginning of the next quarter, or from the end of one fiscal year to the beginning of the next fiscal year. For example, if a company's fiscal year ends on December 31st and the next fiscal year begins on January 1st, then the overquarter period would be from January 1st to March 31st (the end of the first quarter of the new fiscal year).
