Understanding Roaches: Types, Characteristics, and Habitats

Roaches are a type of insect that belongs to the order Blattodea. There are many different species of roaches, but they are all characterized by their flat, oval-shaped bodies and long antennae. Some common types of roaches include:

1. American cockroach (Periplaneta americana): This is one of the largest species of roach, reaching lengths of up to 2 inches (5 cm). It is reddish-brown in color and has a distinctive white stripe on its back.
2. German cockroach (Blattella germanica): This is one of the most common species of roach found in homes, reaching lengths of up to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm). It is light brown in color with two dark stripes on its back.
