Understanding Wavelength and Its Importance in Waves
Wavelength is the distance between two successive peaks or troughs of a wave. It is usually measured in meters (m) or nanometers (nm).
For example, visible light has a wavelength range of approximately 400-700 nanometers (nm), while radio waves have longer wavelengths ranging from tens of meters to thousands of kilometers.
Wavelength is an important characteristic of a wave, as it determines the frequency of the wave and the amount of energy it carries. The shorter the wavelength, the higher the frequency and the more energy the wave carries.
