What are Bookmarks and How Do They Work?
A bookmark is a way to mark a specific page or resource in a web browser so that you can easily find it again later. When you bookmark a page, the browser stores a link to that page in a special folder, called the "bookmarks" or "favorites" folder. This allows you to quickly access the page again by clicking on the bookmark instead of having to search for it again.
Bookmarks are often used to keep track of frequently visited pages, such as your favorite websites, blogs, or online services. You can also use bookmarks to organize your browsing sessions and to easily find specific pages within a large website.
In addition to web browsers, some other software applications, such as email clients and media players, may also allow you to bookmark specific items or resources. However, the concept of bookmarking is most commonly associated with web browsing.
