What is a Bailee?
Bailee means a person to whom goods are delivered for some purpose, such as repair or storage, and who is responsible for the goods until they are returned to the owner. A bailee is not an owner of the goods but has possession of them and is responsible for their safekeeping.
Example: If you take your car to a mechanic for repairs, the mechanic becomes the bailee of your car until the repairs are completed and the car is returned to you. The mechanic is responsible for the car's safety and condition during the time it is in their possession.
