What is a Contractee?
A contractee is the party that receives the benefits of a contract. In other words, it is the party that is being hired or provided with goods or services under the terms of the contract. The contractee is also sometimes referred to as the "obligor" or the "promisor" in the contract, as they are promising to provide certain goods or services to the other party.
For example, if a company hires a consultant to provide marketing services, the company would be the contractor and the consultant would be the contractee. The company would be the party that is paying for the services and receiving the benefits of the contract, while the consultant would be providing the goods (marketing services) under the terms of the contract.
