What is a Dorm?
A dorm, short for "dormitory," is a type of residential building where students live during their academic years. Dorms are typically found on college and university campuses, and they provide housing for students who are attending the school.
Dorms usually have shared rooms with multiple students, and students may be assigned to a specific room or given the option to choose their own roommates. Dorms often have common areas such as lounges, study spaces, and kitchen facilities, where students can socialize and study together.
Living in a dorm can be a great way for students to meet new people, make friends, and become part of a community of fellow students who are also living on campus. Many dorms also offer support services and resources, such as resident advisors (RAs) who can provide guidance and support, and academic tutors who can help with coursework.
