What is a Draughtsman?
A draughtsman (or draftsman) is a person who creates technical drawings and plans for buildings, machines, and other structures. They use computer-aided design (CAD) software and other tools to create detailed drawings that meet the requirements of architects, engineers, and other clients.
Draughtsmen typically work in industries such as architecture, engineering, and construction, but they may also work in other fields such as product design and manufacturing. Their work involves creating accurate and detailed drawings of buildings, bridges, machines, and other structures, as well as creating technical specifications and reports.
To become a draughtsman, one typically needs to have a strong background in math and science, as well as experience with CAD software and other drafting tools. Many draughtsmen hold degrees in engineering or architecture, but some may also have certifications in specialized areas such as building codes and regulations.
