What is a Single-Layered Structure?
Single-layered refers to a structure or material that consists of only one layer. In other words, it has no internal layers or components, and is typically made up of a single sheet or surface.
For example, a single-layered cake is one that has only one layer, as opposed to a multi-layered cake which has multiple layers. Similarly, a single-layered wafer is a thin disk of semiconducting material that has only one layer, as opposed to a multi-layered wafer which has multiple layers of materials.
In the context of neural networks, a single-layered network is one that consists of only one hidden layer, as opposed to a multi-layered network which has multiple hidden layers.
