What is a Subfreshman?
Subfreshman is a term used in some colleges and universities to refer to students who have completed their first year of study but have not yet been promoted to sophomore status.
In other words, a subfreshman is a student who has completed their freshman year (the first year of college) but has not yet earned enough credits or met the requirements to be considered a sophomore. This term is often used in institutions that have a three-year undergraduate program, where students are considered freshmen for the first two years and then become subfreshmen in their third year before being promoted to sophomores in their fourth year.
It's worth noting that not all colleges and universities use this term, and some may use different terminology to describe students in this stage of their academic career.
