What is an Enlisted Soldier?
Enlisted refers to a soldier who has been enlisted, or recruited, into the military. An enlisted soldier is typically a lower-ranking member of the military, as opposed to an officer, who holds a higher rank and has received a commission through a college or service academy.
Enlisted soldiers are responsible for carrying out the day-to-day tasks and operations of the military, such as conducting patrols, performing maintenance on equipment, and providing support to their fellow soldiers. They may also be called upon to serve in combat situations, where they will be expected to follow orders and carry out their duties with discipline and courage.
In exchange for their service, enlisted soldiers receive a salary, benefits, and training that can help them advance in their careers or transition to civilian life after their military service is complete. Many enlisted soldiers also have the opportunity to pursue specialized training or education, such as advanced individual training (AIT) or technical schools, which can lead to higher pay grades and more responsibilities within the military.
