What is Watertight?

Watertight refers to something that is able to withstand water or liquid and not allow it to pass through or seep in. In other words, it is a term used to describe an object or structure that is impermeable to water.

For example, a watertight container would be one that keeps its contents dry even when submerged in water. A watertight seal on a door or window would prevent water from entering the room. Similarly, a watertight roof would not allow water to leak through and cause damage to the building below.

In general, anything that is designed to keep water out can be considered watertight. This is an important consideration in many industries, such as shipbuilding, where watertight compartments are used to prevent flooding and maintain the stability of the vessel.
